Honestly, I was so bummed when the Midnight Quilt Show was cancelled last year….but after awhile, I got over it and decided it was time to do my own video series. After months of work, I am excited to share the first of six weekly episodes of the Midnight Quilter with you!
In this video, I introduce you to a new fat quarter friendly quilt pattern, Midnight Stars and I share some behind the scenes facts from filming the Midnight Quilt Show.
This bright quilt features star blocks of several different sizes in an unexpected layout. Even though this quilt might look difficult, it’s actually really easy! All the blocks are made using half square triangle (HST) blocks and, best of all, no Y seams!

I started quilting a few years ago and the most challenging thing to do is actually the quilting.,,,,
I still have many hours of practice to do before I can be confident in that process
I have a few books from you on the subject and it helps a lot
I hope I would have more time to sew because it is a real therapy !!

It must have been super disappointing to be cancelled Angela and we were truly lost without our favorite last night hostess but I know all of us are glad you are making your very own videos! I still see you have a bit more as the Japanese would say ki ni aru but I know you’ll be able to shed off everything as soon as you see all the support of us who follow you.

Recently I used a clamshell ruler to do some quilting. It didn’t take me long to realise I really want your ruler Archie i think his name is. Trying to do upside down clam shells with a smalle ruler is really tough. So I am happy to say I’ve ordered that ruler from you and I can’t wait to use it.
