Even though I have been quiet for the last few months, I have been busy working on some new things! One of them is the latest Free-motion Challenge Quilting Along: Machine Quilting with Rulers. In this free video series, I’ll help you become a ruler ninja as we learn how to use rulers of all types to create some amazing designs! Plus, I’ll demonstrate them on a sewing machine and a longarm…it’s going to be a blast!
Whether you’ve never used a machine quilting ruler before or you’re looking for new design inspiration, this video series is for you.
Each week, I’ll focus on a different type of ruler, including straight edge, wavy, arcs, cutouts and curves. I’ll share tips for selecting the perfect ruler for you, give practical tips on how to use them and show different designs you can make with them.
Just like all my other free-motion challenge quilting alongs, I will show you how to use rulers on a longarm AND a sewing machine and will have downloadable PDFs with quilting diagrams and tips sheet.

So glad you’re back! I want to take part in this quilt along and I might purchase the panel, border, thread, and backing fabric, but I’m confused by your website. The price for the panel says “from” $44.99 or whatever the price is. Does that mean you have different sizes? Also, could you provide clear selection choices for the fabrics alone and then for the kit. I can’t tell what’s in the kit. Thank you.
What rulers are used in this class? Machine Quilting with Rulers Exclusive Panel kit is all the material, except batting, which is fine, but I’d like to know if I can use the rulers I have or need to get new ones.
I’m excited and looking forward to this new challenge! I have zero machine rulers and don’t have a bazillion dollars to spend on ones for the class. Can you please give us a suggestion of just one ruler for each category of the class? It would make it much easier than trying to guess which rulers would be the best choices. I’m excited to learn more about free-motion quilting and build the skills to feel confident. I hope this doesn’t sound rude, but the cost of the panel is listed as $44.99…is that the price for only the panel or panel plus needed rulers. It is not clear on the website. If I don’t buy the panel will I be able to learn by using the lessons I learned on “sample” quilt or just a general sandwich????

Perhaps I am a real dumbie…I wish to purchase the complete package: panel, border, backing, thread. This is offered with a 20% discount. I can’t seem to access it. In fact I can’t seem to be able to download the order individually! I don’t need the rulers as I have purchased them already . Please help. I need this course to give me confidence. Thank you

Hi Angela! Glad to see your happy person again. I want to order the entire kit, but am not certain if what I clicked on is correct. In the kit do we get the panel, borders, thread and backing? Can we change the backing to one of the other optional fabrics?
I have put “something”? in my chart and want to be sure that I have done it correctly before paying.

I would so love to have some of Angela’s Rulers but my machine is a low shank machine. Is there any suggestions on what I could use instead? I wish she made rulers for a low shank machine! Hint hint

Can you do the class if you use westelee rulers. My machine does not work week with Angela’s rulers. It is a shank height issue for my Prague
