What is Build A Quilt?

With exclusive block patterns and fabrics designed by Angela Walters, you’ll have everything you need to bring your vision to life. Choose from 3 different color options and 3 different optional layouts to create a customized quilt. It’s like a block-of-the-month club, but twice as inspiring and way more fun!
10 Blocks – 3 Colorway Options
The one-time registration fee includes the patterns and fabrics for ten 12″ blocks in the colorway of your choice. Then, in April, you will have the opportunity to purchase a layout kit for your blocks…choose from three different options!
How Build A Quilt Works
Step 1: Pay the One-Time Registration Fee
The One-time Registration fee includes the fabric and pattern for ten quilt blocks, each mailed to you monthly! We also have registration options for those who live outside the US as well as in-person Build a Quilt (for those in the Kansas City area).
Step 2: Choose your colorway
Part of the fun of Build A Quilt is making it yours! Choose from three beautiful colorways featuring fabric collections by Angela Walters, and you’ll finish with a quilt you’ll treasure.

Garden Serenade – Immerse yourself in a vibrant world with our Garden Serenade collection, showcasing rich watermelon and magenta tones infused with lively green accents. Starting in January, you’ll get a block kit every month with the fabric and pattern to make your Build A Quilt block. Not only will you end up with a gorgeous quilt, joining Build a Quilt also includes additional perks, including:

In April, we will announce the three layout options for your BAQ blocks. These kits are optional and include the pattern and fabrics to make the quilt top (including binding).
There will also be the option to add backing fabric and coordinating threads. While we don’t announce the layout options until April, they usually range in price from $79.95-$119.95.
