A few months ago, my husband and I took a huge step in our business by purchasing a historic building situated on a historic town square in Liberty, Missouri. (Just a 45 minute drive from Missouri Star Quilt Company……you know, just in case you happen to be making a road trip)
The shop, Quilting Is My Therapy, will not only house my private studio, we will be selling fabric, notions, machine quilting supplies and HandiQuilter quilting machines as well. Believe me, I am more than a little excited about not working out of my house any more!
It’s been a crazy few months, with more than a few freak-outs on my end. The kids have played way too much on their iPads, while I learned way more than I wanted to about galvanized pipe, refurbishing radiators and the importance of priming before painting.
But even though I never thought it would happen, we are finally getting close to being finished. (And trust me, there are several times that I thought it would never get done!). Now it’s time to celebrate!
I would like to cordially invite you to our Preview Party this Saturday, October 17th from 2-4pm
(For more details, or to RSVP, check out the event page.)
This isn’t just a come-check-out-the-new-store kind of party. it’s more of a oh-my-goodness-I-can’t-believe-I-am-still-alive kind of party.
I know that most of you aren’t in the Liberty MO area, but if you are, I hope you will come by and celebrate with us. There will be food and drinks, not to mention a ton of prizes. And, of course, we will have some great sales as well.
If that isn’t enough incentive, the first 50 people to arrive will get a Quilting Is My Therapy bag filled with tons of goodies.
(Including goodies from C&T Publishing, Jaybird Quilts, Aurifil, American Patchwork & Quilting Magazine, Quilter’s dream Batting, Soak Wash, Wonderfil, and more!)
If you have some non-quilty friends that you need to keep occupied, there is a car show that day in the same area. As well as a lot of fun shops ….if fact, you could make a day of it.
For those of you that don’t live in the area, you can still celebrate with us. Stay tuned for some great deals on the Quilting Is My Therapy online store.
Ultimately though, I want to thank each and every one of you reading this post and for joining me on this crazy adventure. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t freaking out! But knowing that you are on this journey with me makes it a whole lot easier.
Happy Quilting!
