Choose from 3 different color options and 3 different optional layouts to create a customized quilt. It’s like a block-of-the-month club, but twice as inspiring and way more fun!
The one-time registration fee includes the patterns and fabrics for ten 12″ blocks in the colorway of your choice. Then, in April, you will have the opportunity to purchase a layout kit for your blocks…choose from three different options!
Step 1: Pay the One-Time Registration Fee
The One-time Registration fee includes the fabric and pattern for ten quilt blocks, each mailed to you monthly! We also have registration options for those who live outside the US as well as in-person Build a Quilt (for those in the Kansas City area).
Step 2: Choose your colorway
To help make Build A Quilt fun to customize, you can choose from three different colorways options. These fabric collections, designed by Angela Walters, ensure that you end up with a quilt that you are sure to love!

Our in-person quilting group meetings happen monthly on the third Saturday at 9:30 a.m. For online and international participants, we’ll stream our meeting live on the Build A Quilt Facebook page.
You can purchase as many colorways as you would like. Some of our builders love to do this for making larger or multiple quilts!

In April, we will announce the three layout options for your BAQ blocks. These kits are optional and include the pattern and fabrics to make the quilt top (including binding).
There will also be the option to add backing fabric and coordinating threads. While we don’t announce the layout options until April, they usually range in price from $79.95-$119.95.
For those that are participating in the “online” Build A Quilt, the block kits will be mailed on the following dates. Please allow up to two weeks for delivery.
