  • Learning how to longarm with rulers is a skill that helps all quilters, from a complete beginner to the experienced quilter. In this hands-on longarm class, Angela Walters will show how to quilt with different kinds of rulers as well as provide design inspiration for each. To provide the best experience, the class is limited to 12 students. You are sure to get plenty of interaction with Angela and will leave the class feeling more confident with your machine quilting.

    In this class, you’ll learn:

    • How to quilt with several different types of rulers, including straight edge, wavy, curvy, pointy and cut out rulers.
    • Proper techniques as well as designs for each type
    • How to combine rulers for intricate-looking designs
    • Ways to use rulers in all areas, even ones that are larger or smaller than your ruler
  • In this quick, informal class, we will use the longarm quilting machines to create an adorable project that you can take home with you!  Registration fee includes all the supplies needed to make the project. All you have to do is show up.

    Layer, quilt, cut and repeat! Just four steps to a stunning quilted project that can used as a table runner, wall hanging or made into a bag. In this “make and take” class, Angela will go over the basics of reverse appliqué, and show you how fun it is! Then you’ll work on your own reverse appliqué project. Even if you’ve never touched a longarm before, these projects are easy and fun to make!

  • Create your own thread painted masterpiece in this hands-on longarm quilting class. Thread painting adds gorgeous detail and depth to your quilting, and it’s actually easier than you might think! To provide the best experience, the class is limited to 12 students. You are sure to get plenty of interaction with Angela and will leave the class feeling more confident with your machine quilting.

    In this class, you’ll:

    • Learn about different types of threads and how to use them to create different effects on your quilts
    • Gain the confidence to deal with thread tension and thread issues
    • See how to “blend” colors together to add shading a depth to areas of your quilt
    • Learn how to create texture with different designs
