Introduction to the Challenge

Welcome to the Feathers Free-motion Challenge Quilting Along! You can think of me, Angela Walters, as your personal free-motion quilting trainer! Through this 5 week challenge, we will work through one of my all time favorite quilting designs…..the feather!

Before You Start

Unfortunately, the panel used in the challenge is sold out. But we do have a different kit option available, click here to order.

Preparing Your Quilt Sandwich

Before we can dive into machine quilting feathers, we are going to need a quilt sandwich to practice on. In this quick bonus video, I show you how I like to prepare my quilts.

It doesn’t matter what basting technique you use, or even what size the quilt sandwich is. The more important thing is that you have something to practice on.
