This ruler has become an extension of my hand! It surprised me so much that a seemingly short ruler would be so useful. I am pretty new to free motion quilting, and this ruler has been such an aid to getting around the quilt without looking sloppy, in addition to doing the dot to dot type work for which I purchased it. I end up using it for stitching in the ditch, too, rather than using the fancy feet on my machine for that purpose, and the work goes much more quickly. It also allows me to adapt to little piecing imperfections along the way. This is a Must-Have.
