Silk thread has a beautiful natural sheen and vibrant colors, but there are even more reasons to love silk thread. Even though it's thin (100 wt), it's very strong, has a smooth finish, lint free and is colorfast. It's great for machine quilting and embroidery, but we love it for english paper piecing. The stitches basically disappear and the smooth thread glides through the fabric. Suggested Needle size:
