4th Annual Quilt Walk - Featuring Tula Pink
When: June 18th, 10am-3pm
Where: Quilting Is My Therapy & Historic Downtown Liberty MO
One thing that I just love about our quilt shop is that it’s situated in charming, historic downtown Liberty MO. Not only can you come to our quilt shop to find exclusive fabrics, patterns, notions and more……you can also check out the numerous boutiques, restaurants and even a couple of museums that also call downtown Liberty home.
Liberty is a suburb of Kansas City and only 30 minutes from the Kansas City International Airport, with numerous hotels, restaurants and shopping options. But as you walk around the downtown, it feels as though you are in a quaint small town. It’s the perfect place for the Quilting Is My Therapy quilt shop!
Most days of the year, the historic downtown looks like a normal, bustling area. But one day each summer, the quilters take over and participate in our annual Quilt Walk event. The Quilt Walk is like a quilting show-and-tell hosted by the participating businesses that surround our little shop. Attendees will be treated to an array of quilts while wandering in and around participating businesses, making it the perfect event for quilters and non-quilters alike.
Featured Guest: Tula Pink
We are so excited to announce that Tula Pink is the featured guest of this year’s Quilt Walk!
Not only will we have a display featuring some of her favorite quilts, she’ll also be hosting an English Paper Piecing demo as well as a Book Signing/Meet & Greet!
How the Quilt Walk Works
Participating in the Quilt Walk is fun and easy!
First: Stop in at the Quilting Is My Therapy quilt shop.
On the day of Quilt Walk, start by coming to the shop located at 2 E Franklin St, Liberty MO 64068.
See the exclusive Quilt Walk quilt and pick up a map which includes a list of participating businesses as well as the locations of displays and other events.
Second: Visit the local shops and check out the quilt exhibits.
I wasn’t able to join this time but can’t wait to go next time!!
Love the quilt walk 2022! Love meeting Tula.! This day for the past 2 years is a highlight of my life. I can’t imagine how much work it takes to have this event. Thank you and all your staff. Love seeing you again. The energy level for this event was off the scales! Thank You!
Hotels booked and we are headed to Liberty! So excited! Second year to attend. And I saw the video with the quilt made by Angela and Jenny….I want to win it so badly. See you soon!
Information is very hard to find for the June 2022 event. It is not on the home page for Angela’s shop. The Liberty Mo sites most have no listing. Glad I stumbled on my clicking around for 20 minutes.
Just show up at the shop on June 18th and we will have a map and instructions for the Quilt Walk.
Angela and Team,
I plan on attending the quote walk and many from our guild will be attending. Our guild was wondering who we could contact or if we could show our opportunity quilt and sell raffle tickets. Please let me know if that could be an option and where we could set up. Some of our fabric was purchased at your shop and the rest was donated by guild members. The quilting was also donated. Quilt is called Evolution. We are the Northland Quilters Guild.
Hi Angela and Team. I won’t be able to make the quilt walk 😢 but want to participate in the Quilt Walk blocks. How do people not attending the quilt walk receive the various quilt block patterns, fabric, and finishing kit?
There seems to be conflicting dates online. Please confirm the dates for 2022.
It’s June 18th
With so many people attending, how will the event accommodate all who will want to see Tula Pink’s demo and/or attend the meet and greet? Will it be first come first serve? Is the facility large enough that most if not all will be able to see, hear, or participate? Thank you so much for your time. Am looking forward to attending my first Quilt Walk in Liberty, Kansas!
The demo is an ongoing demo, she will be showing her technique over and over throughout the hour. As she wraps up one group, we will filter the next group. So glad that you are coming!
It’s Liberty, Missouri.
I believe it’s Liberty, Missouri not Kansas.
