In the first video of this series, we are going to see how using motifs, or stand alone designs, in our borders might be an easier option for adding detail and interest to the borders of our quilts. When machine quilting quilt borders, one of the things I struggle with is quilting a design that wraps around the whole border. Connecting the design so it looks continuous, no matter what machine you use, can be tricky. So in this week’s challenge, we are going to go with an easier option, border motifs.
