Build A Quilt (BAQ) is an exciting and easy way to complete a customized quilt, one block at a time! Featuring patterns and fabric designed by Angela Walters exclusively for Build A Quilt. Choose from 3 different color options and 3 different layouts to create a customized quilt. It’s like a block of the month……but better!

The one-time registration fee includes the patterns and fabrics for ten 12″ blocks in the colorway of your choice. Then, in April, you will have the opportunity to purchase a layout kit for your blocks…choose from three different options!

Participate in-store and pick up your block kits at our monthly BAQ meetings (in Liberty, MO) or participate online and have them mailed to you.

After enrolling in the Build a Quilt program, you can request to be added to the Facebook group. You must answer the verification question, then we will approve the request.
What comes in the monthly BAQ block kit?2022-10-04T12:02:22-05:00

Each month, you will receive an envelope full of happiness! It includes a color pattern with fabric key, cutting diagrams and clear instructions and illustrations on how to piece the block. You will also receive a fabric panel featuring the fabrics needed to make the block. Since Angela is the fabric designer, we are able to digitally printing the fabrics needed on one piece of fabric. This not only cuts down on errors on our end, it ensures that your fabrics stay together until you are ready to cut them out.
This is exclusive to Build A Quilt and we think it’s pretty fantastic!
What fabric do you use for Build A Quilt?2022-10-04T12:03:05-05:00

You get to choose one of three different colorway options designed by Angela Walters exclusively for Build A Quilt. The fabric is digitally printed in the US on Paintbrush Studios solid fabric. A smooth, finely woven fabric that feels amazing! It is the same fabric used for all the Free-motion Challenge Quilting Along panels as well.

Of course!!   International Build A Quilt works a little differently. The yardage for all the blocks will be mailed the beginning of December. Then, each month we will email the block pattern.  Email joni at qimtbaq@gmail.com with any questions.

If you can’t make it to the BAQ meeting (or if you can’t attend the WHOLE meeting) you can pick up the block kit from the quilt shop. Please pick up within two weeks, if possible. If you have any questions, please email Joni at qimtbaq@gmail.com

Build A Quilt (BAQ) is an exciting and easy way to complete a customized quilt, one block at a time! BAQ features exclusive fabric prints and block patterns designed by Angela Walters. Choose from 3 different color options and 3 different layouts to create a customized quilt. It’s like a block of the month……but better!
Pay a one-time fee and get the fabric and pattern for a 12″ block each month (either mailed to you or picked up in-store) for a total of 10 blocks. The in-store option is for local participants who want to attend the BAQ meetings in person. Pay a one-time fee which includes the fabric and patterns for 10 blocks. Attend the BAQ monthly meetings to receive the block kit for the next month.
In April, you will have the option to purchase finishing kits for your blocks. There will be three different layouts to choose from, which will include the exclusive pattern, as well as fabric for the top and binding.
Besides attending the BAQ meetings, you’ll also have access to exclusive products and discounts.

For the Build A Quilt online option, you pay a one-time fee which includes the fabric and patterns for 10 blocks. We mail you a block kit with the fabric and pattern for a block every month (Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, June, July, Aug, and Sept.).
In April, you will have the option to purchase finishing kits for your blocks. There will be three different layouts to choose from, which will include the exclusive pattern, as well as fabric for the top and binding.
As a builder, you will also have access to live videos of our BAQ meetings, exclusive products and discounts.

Unfortunately, no. The pattern is exclusive to those who purchase Build A Quilt.

You can purchase as many BAQ colorways as you like. Some of our builders love to do this to make a larger quilt or multiple quilts.
What is an “Oops Kit”?2022-10-04T12:10:22-05:00

An “oops kit” is a panel featuring a 13 1/2″ square of all 9 fabrics used in the BAQ blocks. Perfect to have on hand if you make a miscut or choose to switch out a fabric in one of the blocks. It’s definitely handy to have around!

The oops kit is the perfect solution.  You may also purchase extra fabric online. If there are any other issues with the fabric just email Joni at qimtbaq@gmail.com
What do I do if my block does not arrive?2021-10-15T12:05:54-05:00

We ask that you give the mail at least 2 weeks.  Many times the package simply gets misrouted in the mail system and ends up showing up.  If you have not received your block after two weeks, please email Joni at qimtbaq@gmail.com and she will promptly assist you.

When will my blocks arrive each month?2021-10-15T12:06:23-05:00

United States –

Your block kit of fabric awesomeness is mailed the Friday of each scheduled monthly meeting and should arrive in 2-7 days.

Internationals-

You will be mailed the yardage for your blocks in early December.  Then each month you will be emailed the block pattern.
